According to BlackBerryCool.com (March 29, 2010), it does. So I decided to see for myself.
As mentioned in a previous post I am running Ubuntu. I have created a simple test file (nothing fancy) and saved it using Libre Office's Writer application. I saved it using a '.odt' extension and emailed it to myself on my BlackBerry.
On my first attempt of opening the document I had issues due to service books being missing on my device (a network problem). Several tweaks and battery pulls later...
It doesn't work! If anyone knows a way around this, please share it in the comments.
So there you have it open source fans you cannot open .odt, .odf. and .ods files on a BlackBerry phone.
